Full of sass, a spice of sorrow, and something sweet, Jai Vinyl is an emerging singer-songwriter based in Ontario. She is currently residing in London, Canada’s first UNESCO City of Music, but she never strays far from the small town of Metcalfe, Ontario where she was born and raised. Landing somewhere between the sound of new-wave indie pop and the feel of the sunny 70s, Jai Vinyl’s strikingly mature lyrics have a way of touching the heart of any listener. At only 19 years old, she has the potential, the drive, and the spunk to make waves in today’s pop music scene. In 2022, Jai was nominated for Songwriter of the Year at Fanshawe College during her first year of study by Juno Award-winning engineer, Dan Brodbeck. In the following year, Jai was nominated for Artist of the Year, Band of the Year, and Vocalist of the Year during her second year at Fanshawe College by Dan Brodbeck and Dani Strong.
