My name is Johnny Wilson. I got my start in music while playing for the University of Windsor Men's Rugby Team. Our coach owned an Irish pub, where we would drink away the pain after the games. After a few pints of liquid courage, I would join various Celtic bands on stage for a few tunes. After graduating with a BSc in Geology, I worked as a geologist. Then, the 5th generation family water well drilling business called me home. We've been on our farm north of Springfield, on Wilson Line, longer than Canada has been a country. My first show was St Patrick's Day 2001. By 2006, we were playing 120 shows a year, including getting sponsored by Guinness to play the entire week of St Paddy's in Boston. When my kids came along, the schedule was greatly reduced. But now, they are 13 & 11, and it's time to ramp it up again. The bodhran accompanies me, along with my singing, everywhere I go, work or pleasure. You never know when you might need pull the drum out for a tune. Sociable
