Shawn Andrew is a singer-songwriter, composer, musician. At eighteen he formed his first rock band, called Smackthepone. They performed originals. Their appeal quickly led to a loyal fanbase and bookings in bars and popular festivals in the north of Portugal. Earning a degree in Music Education from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Portugal. Shawn became a teacher. He also composed music for video games, mobile phones and devices. Shawn Andrew’s music might be described as alternative rock, post punk, synthpop infused with flamenco, tango and sprinkled with a taste of grunge. Here are few of his influences: Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Murphy, Editors, Snow Patrol, Bush, Depeche Mode, HIM, Vicent Amigo, A. Piazolla and Fado. As of winter, 2018-19, Shawn Andrew’s most recent works promise an evening of delight, original, poetic, harmonious compositions and rhythmic arrangements. You can find him playing solo, and with his mates on the stages of London.
