Home County and London Brewing have teamed up to present a one-day summer event, the Home County Summer Celebration - taking place August 24, 2024. Lineup will soon be announced, stay tuned!

Home County and London Brewing Team Up To Present One-Day Summer Event

LONDON ONTARIO CANADA - The Home County Folk League (HCFL) and London Brewing are excited to announce the Home County Summer Celebration taking place on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at London Brewing, 521 Burbrook Place, London ON.

The event will feature ten musicians on two stages, with a focus on local artists. Jim MacDonald of London Brewing and Darin J. Addison of Home County are in the process of curating the lineup, which will be announced at a later date. The event will also feature a small selection of craft vendors and food trucks.

“We are thrilled to work with London Brewing on this event,” said Paul Tomlinson, acting Chair of the HCFL. “They have been partners in our festival beer garden for a number years, and co-hosted several events at their brewery. Our two organizations share the same community spirit, allowing us to work well together.”

Gates will open at noon with live music running from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission is Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) with all proceeds going to the Home County Future Fund.

In October 2023, the HCFL announced the cancellation of the 2024 edition of its annual Home County Music & Art Festival in Victoria Park. A special committee was formed in January and they have been brainstorming ideas to determine a sustainable direction for the League, going forward.

London Brewing first became involved in the Festival beer garden in 2018 and was the exclusive partner in 2022 and 2023. “We have been honoured to work with our friends at Home County to provide a great place for festival patrons to enjoy a beer and listen to great music,” said Emma Maganja, Worker-Owner at London Brewing. “Our goal is to help keep the Home County name alive through events in our taproom and patio spaces.”
