Founded in London, Ontario, ‘the cock in the sparrow’ are a three piece punk rock outfit. The band first got started when singer/songwriter/guitarist Paul St. Laurent and drummer/producer Hamish started jamming and recording songs that Paul wrote. A short time later they asked bassist Derek Santos to join the band. Together, the trio of experienced musicians have molded an infectious sound that utilizes Paul’s East Coast musical sensibilities, Hamish’s punk rock background, and Derek’s love of jazz. The sound is unadulterated high tempo punk rock and roll that gets people shaking their hips and moving their feet.
